Just when you thought it couldn't get any more astronomically disappointing than December 21st, the astronomical first day of winter, you're one-twoed at 4:00pm that afternoon with the longest night of the year. Meanwhile, your body, the product of millions of years of evolution, is hardwired to process the environmental darkness into emotional darkness in a little ditty Mother Nature calls "Seasonal Affective Disorder" (S.A.D). The universe hates you.
On that fateful evening at Comicazi, ComedyCazi will look past the dressed-up commercialism of the holidays, straight through the religious undertones propagated by whatever we mean when we say "the Media," and beyond the original pagan meanings of all the conventional symbols to reveal what this time of year really means to us all: That we're the butt of the biggest cosmic joke since the cosmos decided we should all have butts.
Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8:00pm!
