Comedy at the Cannery is a monthly series event hosted by Stephan Francescone featuring some of Boston and New England's funniest rising comedians. Join us on FRIDAY 2/3 at 8pm for Opener, Mona Forgione, Feature Comedian, Alex Giampapa, and Headliner, Paul Nardizzi. Learn more about the performers below:

Opener - Mona Forgione:

Having 5 surgical procedures, four pets, three kids, two shoulders full of anchors and one retired Roller Derby jersey in her closet, Mona Forgione is a Mombot by day/Stand Up Comedian by night. When not serving sandwiches or slinging jokes, she’s writing about the highs and lows and subterranean levels of her motherhood experience. Mona Forgione has been living an unfiltered comedy sketch since childhood. This Chelsea, Massachusetts native, now unsettled in New Hampshire, first stepped on stage to share her riotous tales after a journey of self-care for a midlife crisis landed her in the surgical center… twice. Now, Mona’s focus is sharing her takes on her life’s most ludicrous moments “for the greater good”. Where bitter meets motherly, Mona is real, raw and comfortably, uncomfortably relatable. Voted “Most Friendly” in High School, this Stay-at-Home mother of three has Gone Rogue.

In addition to her own Stand Up, Mona, as a female comedian, booker, show producer - owns and operates Gone Rogue Productions, LLC- producing Stand Up Comedy Events, Fundraiser Events, and other Live Entertainment Events all over New Hampshire, providing a safe & inclusive space for comedians and show goers.

Feature - Alex Giampapa:

Alex Giampapa began performing stand-up comedy in Boston at the age of 19 and soon became a popular act all across New England. He’s performed with comedians like Bill Burr, Hannibal Buress, Ilana Glaser, Sarah Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Gary Gulman, Adam Devine and Erik Griffin. Alex headlines shows nationwide, and has been featured in many comedy festivals including The Rogue Island Comedy Festival (Newport, RI), The Big Pine Comedy Festival (Flagstaff, AZ), The Boston Comedy Festival, and The Motor City Comedy Festival (Detroit, MI).

His edgy, but relatable style has made him a popular choice for many different types of audiences:

Headliner - Paul Nardizzi:

Paul Nardizzi began his comedy career in 1990, quickly becoming a Boston area favorite and a national headliner within four years. Paul Nardizzi has made numerous appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Comedy Central, NESN Comedy All Stars. Paul also won the Boston Comedy Festival Competition, HBO's U.S. Comedy and Arts Festivaland is one of the most requested acts on XM Satellite Radio. As a top stand up comedian in Boston and the New England Area, he is known for his rapid-fire comedy, ability to engage the crowd, and tailor material to audiences. Paul can be seen performing in clubs nationwide in addition to providing corporate entertainment and working at charity events and parties.
