How many dreams begin with the sight and shape of a cloud? What secrets are held in these sky-bound companions of our lives?

In celebration of its 100th Anniversary, the American Meteorological Society announces The Eye Towards the Sky lecture series. The inaugural lecture, “Cloudspotting for Beginners”, features Gavin Pretor-Pinney, founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society who will take you on an illustrated tour of the sky. He will explain why the clouds look the way they do and how they reveal the invisible movements of our atmosphere. You can read more about Gavin's work and his passion for clouds in the August issue of BAMS.

Join Gavin and AMS at the historic Boston Public Library at Copley Square on Thursday 10 October 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for an enlightening and entertaining talk followed with a Q & A session and book signing. Lite fare, beer and wine will be served.
