In this six-week class we will learn how to perform “game” or finding what’s funny in a scene, second beats, and heightening a scene to its full comedic potential. Students will also focus on creating engaging relationship driven comedic scenes that are sustainable and memorable.
Upon completion of the class, students will perform a half hour improvised show.

About The Teacher
Annie Paradis has studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, the People’s Improv Theater (PIT), and taken workshops under Susan Messing (Annoyance Theater, The Second City, iO Theater) and Mike Spara (The New Movement). Annie received her BFA from Pratt Institute in Creative Writing with a focus in Poetry and Performance. She is a member of the improv teams HOTLINE and Swan Year and hosts / produces the monthly poetry comedy show The Slam at Good Good Comedy.
Pre-req: To enroll you must have completed Improv Level One at any comedy theater.
