Boston's only omni-genre variety show stitched into a theatrical six-ring circus, CHEAP SEATS features short sets from local luminaries and new comers alike as dozens of musicians, poets, comedians, dancers, visual & conceptual artists converge on Central Square for a rapid-fire round robin all over the Y Theater's stage, floor, balconies and chandeliers. With an emphasis on reckless originality, CHEAP SEATS is the place to see veteran artists stretch their chops and be blown away by something completely unheard of. Always all ages and wheelchair accessible, this is an open source salon for the radically inclusive and artistically adventurous. Sign up to perform in advance, or just show up at will call with a guitar or a projector or a puppet or something and watch what happens…
