Charlestown’s Pier 6 Restaurant to Host the 21st Annual Boston Harbor Striper Shootout’s Tournament and Block Party

Charlestown’s Pier 6 restaurant, known for Executive Chef Bill Poirier’s innovative take on classic New England Cuisine and its unapparelled Boston views, will host the official Weigh-In and After-Party for the 21st Annual Boston Harbor Striper Shootout. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Team Andrea Foundation, an organization committed to assisting families while they battle Breast Cancer. The largest bass tournament in Boston, the Striper Shootout will officially begin at 12:01am for an all-day fishing extravaganza, resulting in bass that usually range from 45 to 50lbs in size. At 3:00pm, the competition ends and competitors will line the docks, as eager fishermen and spectators alike will eagerly await the final results. With a $10 entry ticket, guests at Pier 6 have the best seat in the house, and can enjoy refreshing brews from Castle Island Brewing, live music from Conscious Reggae Band, and a la carte bites prepared by the restaurant’s talented culinary team. Once every qualified bass has been meticulously measured and recorded from tip to tail, attendees will have the opportunity to cheer on their favorite angler during the awards ceremony.
