First, enjoy an art workshop for 3:00 - 4:30 pm, hosted by local artist Elisa Sweig
Beauty is timeless. Come and create a mixed medium collage piece of art which honors and expresses the most amazing parts of yourself, your history and your future. In this workshop we will use a variety of art materials to express how we shine as Women in every stage of our amazing lives.
Elisa has a studio in Marlborough, Mass. She has exhibited her art locally and nationally. She also works for the Museum Fine Arts in the Artful Healing program.
Then, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. join Love Your Menses to learn about menopause. A free meal will also be served as part of this presentation.
Menopause is natural! However, many people with acceptance due to the challenges that come with this stage of life. Join us as Dr. Azumah and Dernsta Darang, DrPH Candidate share tips and tricks to adapt to the changes that occur during menopause.
Ebere Azumah, MD, MPH, FACOG, FICS is a board-certified Obstetrician
and Gynecologist, Certified Life Coach, trained Doula, Public Health
Professional, Community Health Educator, Social Entrepreneur, Non-Profit
organization founder and leader, she is also the Chair of the Association of
Nigerian Physicians in the Americas DC-MD-VA chapter and the Chair of
the Ob/Gyn Specialty group of International College of Surgeons, US
Chapter.
She is a trained Project Manager, trained Media Public Relations
Personnel, Organizational Consultant, an International Professional
Speaker, Bestselling Author, and Blogger. She is the Co-Founder and
President of Love your Menses, Inc a global organization that provides
menstrual education, empowerment to the youths. Love Your Menses,
Inc is a global organization with chapters in 9 countries including the United
States.
Dr. Azumah is a three-time author of the following books: The Warrior
Women Project: A sisterhood of immigrant women and a Barnes and
Noble Bestseller; Mya Learns about Menstruation a menstrual education
book for young menstruators and Jonathan and the Hole in his Shoes a
book that discourages bullying in schools.
She has received several awards including the Always Period Heroes 2022
for her work in decreasing global period poverty through Love Your
Menses, Inc, and an Executive Coaching Award for being a phenomenal
Azumah Solutions LLC, Executive Coach from the CEO magazine in 2022.
Dr. Azumah has many interests but one mission, to empower and to
motivate people especially people of color to flourish through life
unapologetically.
