The Guild of Boston Artists is excited to once again hold our beloved Free Children's Art Discovery Classes that provide a fun and educational opportunity for children in the community to learn about the different aspects of art-making including color, values, perspective, and design. Our goal is to help children see the artworks in our gallery through an artist's eye with discussions, hands-on learning, and art-making experiences.
Intended for ages 5-12.
This week's class is all about LIGHT AND SHADOW! After a scavenger hunt in the gallery, we'll look at how artists use transitions and contrasts between light and shadow to create realistic paintings with dynamic compositions. Then we'll try it out with a fun art-making activity!
