Nothing goes better together than good ol' beer and pretzels! Every Saturday we serve up soft pretzels from Fat Boyfriend Bakery in Malden alongside a limited cask beer release.
Cask ale is a traditional British style of serving beer; beer is drawn out of the keg by hand and served at a slightly different carbonation level and temperature than normal draft beer to bring out new flavors and aromas.

Beer Name: Extra Naked
Style: Premium Cream Ale
Cask Addition: Idaho 7
ABV: 5.2%
IBU: 33
Color: Light straw, occasionally likened to off-brand Post-It Notes.
Cheese Pairing: Goat chèvre, maybe a good smoked gouda.
Food Pairing: Pastrami on rye.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Hoopin'" by The Weisstronauts.
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Old Man Boogie" by Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band or "Prehistoric Dog" by Red Fang.

Brewer's Notes: Despite being my favorite beer that we make, this is one of the hardest to sell people on (assuming I don't have samples). "What the hell is a premium cream ale?" they ask. Truth be told, this beer sits more-or-less-directly between a pilsner and a saison, but it turns out there isn't a word for that. Nomenclature aside, this beer is light and crisp and has an ever-so-slight spiciness that'll keep you bendin' your elbow until you run out and you need to go get more.
