Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and American Idol season 10 finalist Casey Abrams is a born natural who worked extremely hard for his dream of a life in music. He was born in Austin, Texas to professionally accomplished and extraordinarily creative parents. His time on American Idol helped him grow into a true artist and led him to his solo career as well as collaborations with other artists such as Haley Reinhart & Postmodern Jukebox. Not too long afterwards, Abrams found himself in London recording his debut self-titled album. “It was the best experience,” he enthuses of being in London, working with producer Martin Terefe, whose credits include Jason Mraz, Train (the hit “Soul Sister”), Mary J Blige, KT Tunstall, a-ha, James Morrison, Martha Wainwright, Cat Stevens, Jamie Cullum and others. He is currently touring with Postmodern Jukebox, a rotating music collective founded by arranger and pianist Scott Bradlee. Bradlee quotes, “If you’ve attended a Postmodern Jukebox show with Casey Abrams in the cast, you already know what a force of nature he is onstage. He pours his soul into his singing every night and he shreds the upright bass.”
