From north to south, wine is made throughout this magnificent state. We start our journey in lovely, unspoiled Mendocino. As we wind our way down through Napa and Sonoma, we learn about California wine history and the birth of wine in the United States. While visiting Paso Robles and Lodi, we discover how the majesty of California’s hills and mountains contribute to its glorious wines. We conclude our trip in Santa Barbara discussing California’s distinctive climate and its influence on grape growing.


You can choose to take this class at Commonwealth Wine School or Online through Zoom. Tastings are provided as part of the in-person class, or available for pick up at our school in Cambridge, MA if you select the Online with Tasting Kit registration option. For those who choose to register for the online class only, tasting lists will be provided ahead of time so that you may taste along at home.
