Burrage Pond Walk

Over 2000 acres of ponds, marsh, swamps and retired cranberry bogs with several miles of walking trails. Managed by the state for fisheries and wildlife habitat, as well as open space. This is an excellent spot for bird-watching. There are more than 10 miles of public trails on the property. They are primarily the broad and flat dirt roads commonly found around cranberry bogs. This is easy walking.

This is a very chill walk/hike. I am not a guide; I'm sparking this adventure to have a good time and explore a new place. The group will be maxed at 10 people. I am inputting a $5 buy-in for non-carpoolers to make sure you don't flake; thanks for not signing up if you can't commit. Those who carpool are already committed, so no need for the $5 from them.

Difficulty level: easy

Expected time: 2.5 hours or so

Gear:

1) Shoes you don't mind getting dirty

2) Cold-weather layers, hat, gloves, etc. You don't have to go crazy on the gear here since we'll be walking, but you should absolutely bring layers and a jacket to keep your warm

3) Bottle of water

4) Snack
