Bukowski Tavern is sticking to its roots this Valentine’s Day by inviting the love-scorned to be blissfully bitter at their annual “F Valentine’s Day” meetup in Cambridge. “Love is a dog from hell,“ as its namesake poet once declared, so in that vein, Bukowski Tavern will dish out a collection of its signature hotdogs in addition to a beer-laced specialty cocktail: F Your Cold, Coal Heart with mango, habanero, PBR and tequila with a rim of charcoal and black lava salt ($11).
Buks also will let you get crafty (and not just with beer) with heart-shaped construction paper where you can exercise your inner wordsmith to voice your opinions on love and said Hallmark holiday. And because Buks encourages your artistic expression, the hateful hearts will be hung and line the wall in all their vicious glory.
