Bukowski Tavern Cambridge gives the middle finger to Valentine’s Day with their annual ‘F**k Valentine’s Day’ Party on Friday, February 14 th . To celebrate the stupidest holiday on earth, Bukowski Tavern and Old Dirty Boston will be hosting a “Storytelling Night” where locals are invited to take the stage and tell their best stories, love related or not. Boston comedian Steve Sweeney will be the MC for the night. The rest of the evening will be centered around eating and drinking your feelings, getting bitter with the Bukowski family, and taping pictures of exes to piñatas.


Old Dirty Boston, the Boston-based podcast that remembers the streets, scenes and stories of Old Boston, will host Bukowski’s first-ever “Storytelling Night.” All who wish to participate and tell their stories of heartbreak, love, history, and more are invited to take the stage.


At the end of the evening, Bukowski’s management and Old Dirty Boston will choose the best storyteller of the evening. That storyteller will be awarded with an invitation to join Old Dirty Boston’s podcast for an episode along with a Bukowski Tavern t-shirt and gift card.


The ‘F**k Valentine’s Day’ Party’s special cocktails will feature spirits and liqueurs from Boston Harbor Distillery. ‘Screaming Infidelities’ is crafted from Putnam Rye Whiskey, Boston Harbor Distillery Coffee Liqueur, Boston Harbor Distillery Maple Cream, and Melletti Chocolat. And ‘I'm not okay (I promise)’ features Lawley’s White Rum, Combier Rose Liqueur, lime, and vanilla.


On the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, Bukowski will be giving paper hearts to guests to decorate. The rules for decorating the hearts are simple: nothing sweet.
