This year’s festival will feature children’s activities, information tables, arts and crafts, ethnic food, live Brazilian music, and many other attractions. Music performances begin at 1:00 p.m. All of the events are free and wheelchair accessible.
Attractions:
• 12 pm Official opening – performance of the Brazilian National by a children’s chorus and Independence Anthems by Claudia Andrea
• Festival Opening Parade led by Marcus Santos and Bloco AfroBrazil, La Piñata and OPENAIR Circus
• Children’s activities (face painting, drawing, children's play, and pony rides)
• Boston Museum of Science & New England Aquarium
• Ethnic food, Information and Service Stands
• Live Performances:
- Capoeira with Mestre Chuvisco
- Nina Torres and Band
- Trio Choro Brasil with Fernando Brandão on flute, Catherine Bent on cello, Adam Bahrami on 7 string guitar, and guest Marcus Santos on drums
