Each year, around the time that the many area universities are celebrating graduation and they welcome back past classes for reunions, the Brattle holds its own sort of reunion. In our case, of course, we’re welcoming back cinematic instead of human alumni. In this series we feature just a few of the amazing films that celebrate their 25th, 50th and 75th anniversaries in 2015. This year, we count among them the swinging ’60s double feature of THE KNACK… AND HOW TO GET IT and WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT?; Charlie Chaplin’s THE GREAT DICTATOR; AKIRA KUROSAWA’S DREAMS; and two tales of ominous lodgings: REPULSION and REBECCA.
