Matthew Quick is the author of The Good Luck of Right Now. Bartholomew has lived with his mother for 38 years. When she gets sick and dies, he has no idea how to be on his own. His counselor says he needs to find his flock and leave the nest. But how does a man whose life has been grounded in his mom, Saturday mass, and the library learn how to fly? Bartholomew thinks he has found a clue when he discovers a “free Tibet” letter from Richard Gere in his mother’s drawer and the adventure begins.


Matthew Quick (aka Q) is the New York Times best-selling author of several novels including The Silver Linings Playbook, which was made into the 2013 Oscar-winning film. His work has been translated into 28 languages and he has received the PEN/Hemingway Award Honorable Mention among other accolades. All of his books have been optioned for film.
