Boston Red Sox Home Opener 2021

The MLB will have a true league-wide Opening Day in 2021, as every team will begin the season on Thursday, April 1.

For the Red Sox, they'll be opening at Fenway Park against the Orioles at 2:10pm. This will be just the sixth time in the last 26 years that the Red Sox have opened the season at home.

Beginning March 22, 2021, Massachusetts will allow select large venues to operate at 12% capacity as part of "Phase 4" of the Commonwealth's reopening plan. Entering this new Phase will allow the Red Sox to put operational plans into action for the return of fans to Fenway Park for the upcoming 2021 season, scheduled to begin on April 1.

12% capacity at Fenway Park = 4,500 fans. Check the Red Sox' official website and season schedule webpage to see if tickets for Opening Day at Fenway eventually go on sale.
