Join the Boston Poetry Slam for an evening at More Than Words!
Poetry slam, an American tradition spanning three decades, combines poetry, storytelling, personal narrative, stand-up comedy, stand-up heartbreak, all creating a stunningly fun theatrical experience. The all-star poets from the Boston Poetry Slam take the stage to earn snaps from listeners and points from judges chosen as hastily as possible from the audience. Everyone is invited to attend to listen in, share on the open mic, or judge the slam.
Featured Poets: Yehya Barakat, Max Evans, Anthony Febo and Arianna Monet.

Tickets to the slam are by donation. All proceeds support More Than Words, a nonprofit social enterprise that empowers young adults who are in the foster care system, court-involved, homeless, or out of school to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business.
Parents and chaperones are reminded that poetry slam is an uncensored event and may contain some strong language, adult themes, and unfiltered ideas.
