For nearly 50 years, Boston Ballet has been one of the world's leading dance companies, performing a repertoire of classical, neo-classical and contemporary works from some of today's finest choreographers. With Mirrors, Boston Ballet presents a quartet of groundbreaking works that highlights the depth of contemporary ballet. The evening opens with José Martinez's Resonance, which features 19 dancers performing Liszt's "Transcendetal Études" against the backdrop of visually-striking sets from award-winning designer Marc Puissant.

The program is then followed by Karol Armitage's choreography to Miles Davis' "Bitches Brew" and Norbert Vesak's Belong, a deeply emotional piece set to the haunting music of Syrinx's "December Angel." Principal dancer Yury Yanowsky draws the show to its resounding finale with the debut of his latest commission Smoke and Mirrors. Discover a new vocabulary of dance when Mirrors graces the stage of the Boston Opera House.
