"Bite Me," is a subversive romantic comedy about the real-life subculture of people who believe that they’re vampires and the IRS agent who audits them. What does an IRS agent have in common with a vampire? They are both bloodsuckers, and they both come together for a “taxing” relationship in this subversive romantic comedy.
The evening begins with a 7 p.m. screening of Bite Me, followed by a Q&A with the film’s writer/star Naomi McDougall Jones, and then candle-lit tours of Hammond Castle Museum.
Bite Me is the second feature film of writer/director duo Naomi McDougall Jones and Meredith Edwards. Their first feature film, Imagine I’m Beautiful won 12 awards on the film festival circuit before receiving theatrical and digital distribution. The film costars Naomi Grossman (“American Horror Story”) and Annie Golden (“Orange is the New Black”).


“Bite Me,” is changing how independent films are distributed with The Joyful Vampire Tour of America, a 51-screening, 40-city, 3-month, RV-fueled, old-school carnival-coming-to-town extravaganza that is circumnavigating the US from May 6-August 1, 2019. Because the tour itself – led by Bite Me’s writer and star Naomi McDougall Jones – is so much fun, documentary filmmaker Kiwi Callahan is on the RV-ride too and is making a docu-series about The Joyful Vampire Tour that is being released every Saturday on YouTube for the duration of the tour.
