Bird Watching on Peddocks Island [07/14/19]

Join Boston Harbor Islands park staff and experienced birders on an exploration around Peddocks Island. You will be walking along miles of trail through different habitats of the island; from forested upland, to beach edges, to wetland marshes. You will have a chance to look for and learn about a wide variety of birds while exploring the island.

Please bring: plenty of water for the day, a packed lunch, binoculars and/ or spotting scope. Please wear: comfortable hiking boots, we recommend long pants and layers, and a hat. Poison ivy and ticks are present on island.

Please note that there are no facilities or running water past the visitor center on one end of the island.

Ticket includes:

- Round-trip ferry ticket from Long Wharf Boston
- All day birding workshop and guided walk on Peddocks
- Snack
- Boat Departure Location: Long Wharf North

What You Need To Know Before You Go! Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the trip?

Trip leaves Boston at 9:00 am, and leaves Peddocks at 4:15 pm. Guests can take an earlier boat to Boston via Georges or Spectacle if preferred.

Is there a bathroom onboard?

There are bathrooms on the boat, with limited restroom facilities on Peddocks Island.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

If Boston Harbor Now cancels the boat trip: If it is too rainy or stormy or the seas are too rough, and Boston Habor Now has to cancel the boat trip, you will be fully refunded the cost of your ticket

If ticket holder cancels: If you cancel because you think it is too sunny, rainy, windy or whatever, but the boat still goes, tickets are non-refundable.

How will I know if my tour has been cancelled?

Boston Harbor Now staff will do our best to email all ticketed passengers in advance if your trip has been cancelled.
