The Cape Cod Rail Trail (CCRT) is a paved bikeway that runs 25 miles from South Dennis to Wellfleet. The terrain is relatively flat with some minor grades in certain sections in the Lower / Outer Cape areas, specifically Orleans and Wellfleet. The CCRT is a safe and enjoyable way to spend a Cape Cod summer day. Traveling through the towns of Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet, its smoothly paved surface (akin to gravel asphalt) makes the path ideal for cyclists.

Total mileage to drive from Boston to start point: 82.7 mi


This is truly a beautiful ride and goes 21.6 miles in one direction, but you do not need to ride the whole trail. Once you register, we can exchange contacts and you can meet us at a particular part of the trail or you can leave early in the adventure. Because this trip does not require your full participation of the full 43.2 mile ride, it is labeled as “moderate”.


You must have done a minimum of 20 mile bike ride before to participate in this event and I will be screening with some basic background about your biking experience. We will provide bike


rental information if you do not have a bike and want to participate.

Funds raised from this adventure will be donated to the North shore Tour de cure event 2020 hosted by the American Diabetes association who have been working to change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. We are committed to participate together and raise money through this inspirational event, not just because over 30 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because so many of us personally know some of them and want to do something about it.
