Barry’s Shop is Back! This one of a kind art experience that combines a retail shop, working art studio, and workshop space is taking over Zone 3 for the month of December! This time around, Barry’s plays off of Zone 3’s former usage as a dry cleaner by focusing on all types of wearable art like pins, t-shirts, patches, and more!
In addition to the retail art shop, Barry’s will host a series of artist-driven events including:
Thursday, December 7 (5:30-8:30): Tie Dye Workshop
Tie dye up a storm at our tie dye workshop! Tickets are $10 and includes a t-shirt, snacks and soda.
Thursday, December 14 (5:30-8:30): Shibori Workshop
Shibori, a Japanese relief dying technique that dates back to the 8th century. Using indigo dye and an elaborate method of folding, Shibori creates a beautiful blue and white pattern that is perfect for shirts, napkins, scarves, and other textiles. Tickets are $10 and includes 2 tea towels, snacks and soda.
Thursday, December 21 (5:30-8:30): Screen Printing Night
Participate in a screen printing workshop led by local printer Jay from AntiDesigns! Pick from 2 designs that relate to Allston and Barry’s Shop to print on your shirt or poster. Tickets are $10 and includes materials, snacks and soda.
