The total length of this hike is 12.9 miles and a portion of it is in the alpine zone above treeline. At a pace of 1.5 miles/hour it should take about 8.5-9 hours to complete. Eisenhower is the tallest peak with an elevation of 4760'. These trails are rated as moderate to difficult.


Grab three of the southern Presidentials on this out & back. We will begin from the Crawford connector parking lot at the beginning of Mt Clinton rd. This is a small turn off just before the Highland Center. We'll hike up the Crawford Path to the Mizpah Springs Hut, then take the Webster Cliff Trail to Mt. Jackson. After summitting Jackson, we'll head back towards the hut and continue on to Mt. Pierce. From here, we get back on the Crawford Path and follow it to Eishenhower. We will follow the Crawford Path back down to the parking lot.


There will still be plenty of ice and snow up in the mountains. Wear full winter clothing (non-cotton layers, rain/wind shell, insulated boots, warm hat & gloves, etc.) Sunscreen is recommended since the sun is high enough now to give you a sunburn. Also have microspikes or hillsounds, snowshoes, plenty of food, and a way to prevent your water from freezing. Also have a headlamp with extra batteries
