We hope you will be joining us for an inspiring 2-week dance experience where new faces become friends, and then become family. In celebration of our 5th Summer Dance Intensive we have added in so many new and exciting opportunities for the dancers to learn and grow.
ABDC's Summer Dance Intensive is an intense, yet freeing and creative experience for passionate dancers between the ages of 8-20 years old. We have two levels of classes and students will learn from various master instructors in many different styles such as contemporary, ballet, improvisation, jazz, modern, variations, and even master classes in salsa, african, and other cultural dance forms.
New this year, we will be hosting an "audition-ready" day where all students will get their professional head shots and dance-action shots taken by ABDC's Resident Photographer: Ray LoPresti: RjL Photography (all photos are included in the intensive fee). All dancers will then complete a mock audition with various master choreographers and instructors to gain invaluable audition skills and above all confidence in stressful audition situations.
In addition to the movement classes students will take daily, ABDC also puts on a Summer Showcase at the end of the 2 weeks. All summer students will learn new choreography to perform in the show, this year at Endicott College in Beverly MA. The showcase is a truly exciting and fun experience for all!
