Ashes To Ashes Watch Party & Discussion

Ashes to Ashes is a 30-minute short documentary inspired by the Ashes to Ashes weekend funeral service in 2016 that was dedicated to those who have been lynched in America. This film was created to honor and remember those lynched in America as many of them could not have a funeral service because their bodies were never found, were burned, or were dismembered.

We are excited to have this event facilitated by Lisa Simmons, the Roxbury International Film Festival director. She will be joined by the producer Dr. Shirley Jackson Whitaker, the documentary director Taylor Rees, and actors Richard Moore and Xinef Abrams.
