Come meet this fantastic photographer showing at home.stead bakery & cafe for the months of March and April. There will be snacks and drinks available.

Robert Easton has lived and traveled in the Middle East and Central America. Seeking life in the big city, he has found urban landscapes, markets and gardens that are filled with color and texture.

His most recent trip was to Havana, Cuba, just before the recent thaw in Cuban/American relations. Like most Caribbean countries, Cuba has a colorful flair for life, but with Cubans, it takes on a special quality.

With few resources, Cubans must make do or do without, and the result is a mosaic of color and texture, contrasts and juxtapositions. Havana streetscapes are a gritty, textured collection of derelict storefronts and flamboyantly painted homes and businesses. Paint and tiles, metalwork and concrete have been pressed into service to help keep the elements out and the families safe inside.
