Join Mayor Walsh’s ONEin3 Council and Artists for Humanity for Art With Heart, an evening where art, entertainment, and purpose intersect in the former Trinity Church located in the heart of the South End on Shawmut Avenue.
The gathering will bring together young adults from across Boston to participate in the creation of an abstract mural painting of Boston, while making connections and building community.
The Mural Creation will be led by three of Artists for Humanity's most talented young artists and all proceeds from the event will go towards Artists for Humanity's mission of providing underserved Boston youth with the keys to self-sufficiency through paid employment in the arts.
The event is an effort to support Mayor Walsh's vision of cultivating artists and creativity in Boston. The group will be joined by Mayor Walsh's Chief of Staff Dan Koh and the City of Boston's newly appointed Art Czar, Julie Burros.
Enjoy a transformed architectural jewel in the South End, the former Trinity Church, while making connections and building community. The 7,000 square-foot former sanctuary will be converted into a vivid, colorsplash center of entertainment featuring DJ Michael Marra and designs by Strewnshank Productions and Charlestown AV. It will highlight paintings, prints, photography, and sculpture art from many of Artist For Humanity's talented artists.
Ticket are donation based with a suggested donation of $20 per person. All proceeds from the event go to Aritsts for Humanity.
