Around Hear, Somerville's new free chamber music series, presents:
Die Winterreise ("A Winter's Journey"), Franz Schubert's 1827 song cycle on Wilhelm Müller's poetry featuring mezzo soprano, Jazimina MacNeil, and an all-Somervillian string quartet: Marji Gere & Shadwa Mussad, violin; Lila Brown, viola; and Patrick McGuire, cello.

Originally for piano and high voice, we're employing an imaginative strings-plus-low voice arrangement by Richard Krug, cellist of the magnificent Copenhagen String Quartet. We are so excited to give the American premiere of this arrangement!
