From calming our stress to uplifting our spirits, essential oils possess many healing qualities. Essential oils are used to support our emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, blessing us with their plant magic. Join aromatherapist and herbalist Irischa Valentin on an exploration of your strongest sense. Through a guided meditation, you will create an aroma spritzer. Spritzers are a beautiful way to enjoy the pleasures of essential oils- refreshing and rejuvenating you and your surroundings!
Irischa M Valentin, of, De La Tierra Botanicals, is a Community Herbalist and Aromatherapist based in Boston. She has been formally studying and learning about plant-healing medicine and essential oils since 2013.
Irischa’s herbal knowledge is closely tied to the Wise Woman Tradition, which integrates folk medicine, creating relationships with local plants (weeds) for self-healing, and living sustainably. Irischa also integrates Earth-based practices in her work with herbs and plants. She enjoys sharing and teaching about plant-healing medicine. Her belief in social justice drives her desire to especially teach in communities who often do not have access to such an alternative health care option. When not studying plants, she is often dancing, traveling, spending time with her family, gardening in her small but abundant urban garden, making herbal, flower, and aroma therapy medicine, devoting sacred time to honoring the cycles of the seasons and the moon, and teaching 3rd graders in Boston.
