The Redobles de Cultura collective - the powerhouse collective of Top New York City based practitioners of Afro-Puerto Rican musical expressions - heads back to the city of fraternal and brotherly love, Philly, in May!
Presented by AfroTaino Productions and hosted by Betsy Casanas' Gallery space (A Seed on Diamond), we kick off the Mother's Day weekend with an evening of learning, building and jamming through Afro-Boricua expression, La Bomba.
Join us (Nicky Laboy CajaDura, Nelson Matthew Gonzalez, Julia Gutierrez-Rivera) for
5pm-6pm: Drumming/percussion workshop
6:30 - 8pm: Dance workshop
8:30pm - 11pm: Bombazo/Noche de Bomba
Take one workshop, take both or stop by for the Bombazo, there'll be something for everyone.
$15 per workshop
$25 for both workshops
$10 for Bombazo
About the Workshops:
