Being fans of meticulously designed, joyfully acted, and carefully directed films at the Brattle, it’s always a cause for celebration when Wes Anderson releases a new film. And how else would the Harvard Square theater celebrate than by putting on a film series!

Join for this practically complete “Wes-trospective” – from his debut feature BOTTLE ROCKET to a special preview screening of his latest, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL along with some surprises. The retrospective lacks only Rushmore which, unfortunately, is unavailable at this time.

Friday, Feb. 28:

The Royal Tenenbaums (7 p.m.)

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (4:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m.)

Saturday, March 1:

Moonrise Kingdom (3 p.m.)

The Fantastic Mr. Fox (1 p.m., 5 p.m.)

The retrospective continues Wednesday (The Darjeeling Limited, Bottle Rocket) and Thursday (special preview screening of The Grand Budapest Hotel).
