For a neighborhood so youthfully vibrant and culturally diverse, Allston gets a bad rap. It breeds creativity and a modern bohemia rarely seen in other areas of the Hub. Sunday, the Parents and Community Build Group’s Allston Village Street Fair shows off exactly what Allston offers year-round: a litany of live performances, several local businesses taking to the streets and thousands of people coming together in one giant party highlighting more than 30 live performances from 2 outdoor stages and street performers, vendors, artists, and craftspeople show off their wares; and Harvard Avenue morphs into Bourbon Street for this year’s Mardi Gras theme. Grab some beads, rock out and have some fun, Allston-style.
