During this informal conversation, Susanne Daniels ’87, President of Programming, MTV, and Amy Lippman ’85, show runner/executive producer for Showtime’s “Masters of Sex,” will discuss their careers in television production (including their most embarrassing work moments for which they are full of regret and wish to never relive). Admission free, reservations required. This special Wintersession program is sponsored by the Office for the Arts at Harvard and Harvard Alumni Association.
Susanne Daniels is former President of Lifetime and The WB (now The CW). At those networks she was responsible for launching a range of iconic series including “Dawson’s Creek,” “Smallville,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Charmed,” “Army Wives,” “Drop Dead Diva,” “Finding Carter” and “Faking It.” She has worked as a programing executive at OWN (the Oprah Winfrey Network), FOX, Nickelodeon and ABC Television. Amy Lippman co-created the Fox drama “Party of Five” and has served as a writer and executive producer on many series, among them HBO's “In Treatment,” Fox's “Lonestar,” and NBC's long-running “Sisters.” Her work has garnered a WGA award, a Golden Globe, and the Humanitas Prize.
