Join DCR’s bat expert Elise Stanmyer to learn more about these amazing mammals, the crucial role they plan in our ecosystems, and the recent threats that have driven many species very close to extinction. The evening begins with a 30-40 minute presentation on bats inside the Botume House visitor center, and is followed by a night hike around Spot Pond to locate and observe some bats in their natural habitat.

Pre-registration is required. Limited to 30 participants.

Please RSVP to [email protected].

Approx. 2 miles, easy terrain. Best for ages 8 and up (or younger children comfortable with darkness). Masks strongly recommended for the indoor portion of this program. Rain cancels.
