Dear friends – it's been a long, cold, lonely winter but we're thrilled to announce...

AERONAUT Allston is back!!!

It's our third season of free, outdoor, family-friendly musical beer gardens at Zone 3's hub of activity, 267 Western Ave in Allston, and we have loads of new stuff to reveal.

The series features live music and performance by emerging local artists, the best local food trucks, and great beer! This year AERONAUT will help Zone 3 open its awesome new outdoor community program and performance space. It's an upgrade from the blacktop parking lot of the past two years – but it still feels like home!

AERONAUT Allston takes place every WEDNESDAY (5-9:30pm) and FRIDAY (5-11pm), June 1 to September 28 at Zone 3 (267 Western Ave).

This season will highlight...
--community collaborations!
--exclusive, only-in-Allston beers!
--a rotating lineup of Boston's top food trucks!
--the best of emerging and established Boston-area performers and bands!

Zone 3 is a Harvard-sparked initiative to further activate and energize Western Ave with creative programs, events, and retail. More info: Zone3WesternAve.com

FEATURED MUSICAL ACTS for FRI JUNE 8

FORREST PRESENTS...

Josh Knowles (7pm)
Josh Knowles is a violinist, singer/songwriter, and music educator based in Boston, MA. Educated at Berklee College of Music, he has recently performed in an eclectic array of genres and groups. His indie/rock band, Nemes, was recently nominated for the Boston Music Award for Best Live Act, as well as New England Music Award for Best in State. Josh has appeared on stage with the Boston Ballet for several shows at the Boston Opera House and on their tour to The Lincoln Center in New York. He is also the co-founder of Stringalong, a string duo specializing in over 100 original arrangements of classic rock, pop and r&b tunes. Over the past year he has performed at other notable venues such as Boston Museum of Fine Arts, The Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, and The Institute for Contemporary Art. Josh is Artist and Composer-in-Residence for the inner-city youth orchestra, Revolution of Hope, and also currently teaches violin, voice, and piano lessons both privately and at the Boston School of Music Arts in Dorchester.

Stace Brandt (8:15pm)
​Stace Brandt has listened for a long time, ear to the ground, constantly searching for what makes a song tick. After years of writing, collaborating, and playing live to shape her sound, Stace now feels like she has a voice with which to speak. Understanding that emotions are inherently at odds, Stace’s music stays honest through its contradictions: conflict, struggle, heartbreak and ecstasy swim together, always churning. Melodically, Stace’s intuition never fails to pack a punch: soul-driven lyrics flow into R&B inflected hooks. Her guitar, minimal and percussive, provides a rhythmic backbone for her smoldering vocals. Powerfully reflective and sentimental, Stace’s music wavers between intimacy and solitude, between living recklessly and intense self-reflection.

Hope & Things (9:30pm)
Hope & Things is an indie rock / quasi-psychedelia band blending retrospective lyrics with lush atmospheres and driving grooves. His debut EP "Illusionary" covers the pains, doubts, hopes, and questions of a reflective life.
