The Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST) is excited to invite you to our first Advance Armenia Boston Reception. Join our seated-served dinner on March 2, 2023 at The Museum of Science.
This special evening will unite diasporans and other global citizens passionate about supporting the betterment of our nation and its future. In addition to an inspiring program, the evening will include welcoming remarks from the FAST Co-Founder, Dr. Noubar Afeyan and a presentation by FAST’s Founding CEO, Dr. Armen Orujyan. We are thrilled to announce that the keynote speaker of our evening will be Dr. Daron Acemoglu, an Institute Professor at MIT, elected fellow of several prominent educational institutions worldwide, author of five books, and winner of numerous international awards.
Our successful inaugural event, the 2022 Advance Armenia Gala in Los Angeles, raised $1.4 million for the ADVANCE research grants program. Those who participated were able to directly contribute to the funding of research teams in Armenia that will produce globally competitive research in AI, Life Sciences, and Advanced Materials under the leadership of distinguished international scientists.
In 2023, we aim to expand our impact on research in Armenia through ADVANCE while also building a sustainable pipeline of scientists by focusing on enhancing education. This fall, FAST will launch Generation AI, a pilot program to introduce Advanced Mathematics, Computer Science, and foundations in Machine Learning as part of AI education at the high school level. This will create a continuous talent pipeline that motivates students toward STEM research and AI careers in Armenia.
We are thrilled to launch our campaign in Boston, sharing our mission and opportunities to contribute to initiatives critical for the long-term sustainability of Armenia’s scientific and technological ecosystem.
