Are you looking for ways to develop more strength in your arm balances? Confused about how to jump back into chaturanga? In this workshop, we'll explore ways to strengthen wrists, forearms, and shoulders and build stability in the vinyasa. We'll also explore some "easier" arm balances, such as side crane, revolved koundinyasana, astavakrasana, and bhujapidasana. We'll try some core strength drills, address the fear factor, and discuss how to incorporate props during practice. Come with questions and/or specific poses you want to work on!


Wear comfortable clothing, and please bring a water bottle, hand towel, and mat. (The studio has a limited number of mats to borrow.) Some prior yoga experience is recommended but not required. Hands-on adjustments will be offered, but you are welcome to opt out if you prefer. All bodies welcome.

Cost: $30 or $55 if you'd also like to enroll in the Backbending Workshop on June 30th


Jill and Paulina are Somerville yoga pals, and have been teaching at O2 Yoga for several years. In addition to both completing vinyasa and trauma-informed trainings, Jill has also studied and taught prenatal and postnatal yoga, while Paulina has studied children's and ashtanga led primary series. They both love talking about anatomy and coming up with fun and challenging yoga sequences.

Accessibility: O2 Yoga Somerville is a short walking distance from both the Porter and Davis T stops, and accessible by several bus routes. There is also free parking available on Highland Street, and there is one small step up to the door of the studio, which is located on the first floor.
