Mmmmaven, an Electronic Music Production & DJ School hosts Boston Ableton User Group's monthly 'Ableton Live Meet-Up' featuring workshops & demonstrations from their skilled production instructors + special guests. These meet-ups are a great opportunity to network with other musicians, get involved in the scene, and learn something new from the Ableton gurus.


The Hybrid Live Set


Ableton being known for it's production and performance possibilities offers individuals a chance to explore various scenarios from the studio to the stage. What if both would merge into one, to produce as you perform and vice versa. Instructor Wigbert Caro gives us an insight into his current project WIGZEN from which most songs have been created using a customized methodology incorporating Live Looping, sampling on the fly, and then condensing it all to a polished track suitable for the club or release.


Incorporating IOS Apps into Ableton Workflow


Andrew Hlynsky will be going over different ways to incorporate IOS apps into an Ableton workflow. He will demonstrate a couple of different drum machines and synthesizers currently available for the iPad. Andrew will also demonstrate how to use the iConnectivity device to route audio and midi into Ableton Live.
