The call to unity and the call to work for justice are both central to our mission as followers of Christ. This year, these two callings fold together in one place, as we host a worship service honoring the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, in partnership with the Paulist Center and Church of the Covenant. The one-hour service, which will focus on the call to justice shared by all Christians, will be Saturday, January 19, at 7pm at the cathedral, with refreshments following. Our preacher will be Cathedral staff member Ylisse Bess Washington and the Crossing Band will lead us in song.

This prayer service will focus attention on how we can contribute to acts of unity, justice and mercy in our personal lives and within our communities. Let's come together in prayer in the midst of our divisions, witnessing to God's work of peace and justice!

All are welcome, and we appreciate your help getting the word out to local congregations. This event is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow.
