A Drink Under the Stars with Paul Sutter

Join astrophysicist and author Paul Sutter for an evening to kick back, relax, and dream of worlds far, far away. We'll explore the night sky as you can see it from your backyard (because it's not like you're going anywhere else), talk about some major celestial events happening this month, and generally just have a good time. We'll save plenty of time for open Q&A, so you can satisfy your burning curiosity about everything from black holes to the beginning of the universe.

For all the curious minds in the world, Paul M. Sutter is a new, fresh voice in science communication. Everywhere from his hit podcast Ask a Spaceman! to his role on TV’s How the Universe Works, Paul strives to bring science to new audiences. By breaking down formidable concepts, emphasizing the human and artistic aspects of the scientific process, and making science accessible with his characteristic conversational, humorous approach, Paul is the one and only Agent to the Stars!.

Suggested cocktail (if you’re 21+):
"The Active Galaxy"
1 1/2 ounces gin
1/2 ounce bourbon
3 ounces ginger ale
juice of 1/2 a lime

Pour ingredients into a shaker, toss in some ice, swirl, pour.

Suggested mocktail:
“The Habitable Planet”
3 ounces tart lemonade
3 ounces ginger beer
Couple sprigs of fresh rosemary
1 tablespoon of honey, to taste
Ice

Muddle rosemary sprigs at bottom of glass before adding ice, lemonade, and ginger beer. Add honey, give things a proper stir to bring out rosemary and honey flavor. Serve at your leisure.
