Six spectacular local a cappella singing groups will assemble for a beautiful tribute and benefit concert, the A CATpella Festival to Belt Out Cancer. The event will honor the bright life and beautiful spirit of Catherine Malatesta of Arlington, Mass. who died in August 2015 at age 16 from epithelioid sarcoma, an extremely rare form of cancer, after a courageous seven-month battle. The festival will benefit the Sarcoma Foundation of America and the Catherine J. Malatesta Scholarship Fund. The six groups performing range from award winning all-male adult community, Vocal Revolution, to the award winning Tufts University Beelzebubs to Bentley University Off the Clock to three fabulous high school groups, the Arlington High School Madrigal Singers, Winchester High School Octets and Wellesley High School Inchordination. The emcee of the evening will be Broadway singer and actress Alexandra Socha who is currently starring in the Amazon series, Red Oaks.
