Join FOOD MOXIE for a fun-filled afternoon on Sunday, June 24th to celebrate the solstice. Explore and learn about the 2-acre urban farm nestled in the 55 acres of green space at Awbury Arboretum in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic Germantown neighborhood. Families will enjoy an afternoon filled with healthy barbecue dishes, local libations, festive music, and prizes.
Fun for all ages at the solstice-inspired craft stations, and “Mama Kimberly” (as seen at Uncle Bobbie's Coffee & Books) will be reading stories.
Delicious BBQ bites served up by Weavers Way Co-op, and award-winning Iron Hill Brewery who will be pouring a special “MOXIEweizen” crafted and brewed especially for this occasion. Enjoy our sweets table thanks to Northwest Philly favorites: Bredenbeck’s Bakery, The Frosted Fox Cake Shop, High Point Cafe, and The Night Kitchen.
Rain or shine. Celebrate the start of summer and support a great cause with good company, farm-fresh food ON the farm, and music until the cows come home. All proceeds raised from this event help to fund FOOD MOXIE’s culinary and agricultural education programs.
Tickets: $15 per person in-advance, $20 per person on June 24
Kids 10 and under are free

FOOD MOXIE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring people to grow, prepare, and eat healthy food. We believe that access to healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant food is a human right; that we can, and must, work together as a community to educate our children and neighbors about cooperative values, nutrition and the value of local, small-scale agriculture.
