Shooting Touch is proud to announce its 3rd annual, two-day Business of Sports Conference from Saturday, March 28 through Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Babson College’s Sorenson Theatre.

Shooting Touch’s Business of Sports Conference offers a unique opportunity for current college students, recent graduates and professionals of all ages to hear the industry’s most accomplished individuals break down topics such as marketing, sales, analytics, social innovation, broadcasting, media and career entry within the notoriously competitive business of sports. Attendees will enjoy a small-scale, 300-person two-day conference, which includes multiple breakouts for prime networking.

“I am looking forward to participating in Shooting Touch’s conference at Babson,” said Boston Celtics Head Coach, Brad Stevens. "It should be a great day of idea-sharing at a school known for its entrepreneurial spirit."

The conference’s roster comprises some of the most prominent figures and thought-provoking leaders within the sports world today. Boston Celtics Head Coach, Brad Stevens will headline one of the six featured panels, while Kevin Eastman, VP, Basketball Operations for the LA Clippers, will serve as the conference keynote speaker.

The conference, which is being held at Babson College for the first time since its inception, will also feature moderators including Anthony Everett, WCVB; Liz Brunner, President, Brunner Communications; Joe Keane, CEO, 47 Brand; Jackie MacMullan, ESPN; George Kiel, Editor-In-Chief, Nicekicks.com and Cheryl Kiser, Executive Director, The Lewis Institute and The Babson Social Innovation Lab.

“We love partnering with social enterprises like Shooting Touch that bring both social and economic value to students and the broader community,” said Cheryl Kiser, Executive Director, The Lewis Institute and The Babson Social Innovation Lab. “Partnering on this conference around the business of sports and sports entrepreneurship presents an opportunity for Babson to bring deep knowledge and experience around all aspects of sports management from truly the best and brightest.”

Attendees will listen to six different panel discussions; partake in Q&A sessions with panelists; network and dine with fellow students, professionals and panelists; mingle with sports celebrities from the NBA, MLB, MLS, MLL and ESPN and have the opportunity to sit in on a viewing of the 2015 NCCA Men’s Basketball Tournament at Babson’s Roger’s Pub. The conference is also offering a case study competition where winners are guaranteed (3) 2015 summer internships at New Balance, the Boston Celtics and Major League Lacrosse.

Tickets are being sold for $199 to college students and $299 to young professionals. All proceeds of the event will be allocated to the Shooting Touch program in Boston, which provides athletic opportunity and health education to under-resourced youth throughout the city. Associated costs are tax deductible and tickets can be purchased here.
