1) First Night Boston
Details: The celebration kicks off at noon with live performances in Copley Square, the Prudential Center and Copley Place. In the afternoon and evening, the ice sculptures light up and a large procession makes its way to Boston Common for the first fireworks show. Live music performances rock the hours until midnight when the countdown begins.


2) New Year's Eve Fireworks on the Harbor
Details: Ring in 2020 with a dazzling display over Boston Harbor. Public viewing is free and available from the Harborwalk.


3) Frog Pond Skating Spectacular at First Night Boston
Details: Ring in the new year with the Frog Pond Skating Spectacular, an annual tradition of First Night Boston. This free show will feature an exciting local cast of Boston favorites, and special guest star, Mirai Nagasu, a seven-time U.S. national medalist and 2018 Olympic bronze medalist.

Details: On New Year’s Eve day, join the Friends of the Harborwalk for a free, one-hour walking tour of Boston’s historic wharves led by Liz Nelson Weaver. Meet at Harbor Islands Visitor Center on the Greenway before proceeding to Long, Central, India, and Rowes Wharves where you'll discover their rich history.
