The Academy has been organizing an Annual Music Conference since 2006 – a festival of Indian classical music at Regis College in Weston, MA and other venues in the greater Boston area.
More than 50 artists in about 15 concerts are showcased in this 5-day annual event. Concerts in both Hindustani and Carnatic music styles featuring some the best musicians, from maestros to rising young stars, covering a wide range of musical instruments and styles are presented. The Conference also has an educational component to promote the appreciation of Indian classical music through lecture-demonstrations, films and workshops. The festival attracts audiences from all over the USA who revel in the awe-inspiring beauty, legacy and vivacity of Indian classical music. Some regard it as one of the largest Indian Classical Music conferences of its kind in North America.
