CUISINE EN LOCALE AND ONCE SOMERVILLE PRESENT:
10TH ONCE BBQ, LUAU AND BEER GARDEN


The BBQ was the beginning of One Night Culinary Events (where the name ONCE came from) presented by the gypsy cooks of Cuisine en Locale. Over the following 12 years Cuisine en Locale created more than 100 One Night Culinary Events, always with ten courses of seasonal, all local food, wherever they are. From Portland Oregon to The Cape, the goal of each One Night Culinary Event is to use only local, seasonal ingredients from within 100 miles.


The ONCE BBQ features all the day drinking and all the meat eating your carnivorous heart desires. Food is served off the grill, one item at a time, “palindrome style”: starting and finishing with the same rockin’ goodies.


The rock star of this year’s menu will be a Whole Roast Pig, and Luau accompaniments, but you can also look for Maple Rubbed Slow Roasted Pork Ribs, Rosemary Garlic Grilled Leg of Lamb and Beer Mustard BBQ Chicken served alongside local vegetables, fish, and all of the abundance of New England in early August.


Admission to the local craft beer garden (over 21) and parking lot is a $10 donation that goes to the bands. Menu will be served ala carte as items become available. (What that means? You can buy items separately and you don't have to buy the $75 ticket to eat! Hooray!) All ten courses of delicious BBQ is available for $75 as an all you can eat. Musical acts include Matt Horton and the Outside Toys at 2:30, KeyTar Bear at 3:30, and Michael Tarbox at 4:30.
